Dr. Bowerman was born and raised in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. She graduated Cum Laude in 1999 from Lake Superior State University with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. In 1999, she moved to the Detroit area to attend the
University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2003.
Dr. Bowerman has been an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, a faculty member at the
Lake Superior State University in the Restorative Dentistry Department and has been in private practice since 2003.

Dr. Bowerman resides in Ann Arbor with her husband and two children. Outside of dentistry, Lisa enjoys sports and travel.
