Cosmetic Dentistry Ann Arbor, MI

Smiling Couple after getting cosmetic dentistry treatment by their dentist at Everwell Dentistry, Ann Arbor Dentist.Cosmetic dentistry is used to make subtle changes and major repairs to your teeth and smile. At Everwell Dentistry, we offer several types of procedures to improve the appearance and function of your smile, some of which include: dental bonding, porcelain veneers, teeth whitening, and dental implants.

Dental Bonding

Composite resin is a putty-like substance that is used to fill small to moderately sized cavities. It can also be used to repair teeth that have been chipped, cracked, broken, or discolored. Many patients find that dental bonding is the right choice for them because it is simple and cost-effective.

Most bonding procedures can be completed in one appointment. During your visit, Dr. Embree will first choose a color of composite that best matches the rest of your enamel. Next, we will prepare the tooth with an acid solution that creates a rougher surface. This helps the composite better bond to the tooth. Once the tooth is prepared, we apply and shape the composite until we achieve the desired effect. Then, we will use special curing like to bond and harden the material. After the material is hard, we will polish it to match the rest of your enamel. Read more on Dental Bonding in Ann Arbor, MI

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are also used to correct teeth that have been chipped, cracked, broken, or discolored. A porcelain veneer is a thin shell that covers the visible portion of your tooth. Veneers are considered to be a conservative alternative to dental crowns. Veneers may also be right for you if you require a durable and more esthetically-pleasing restoration than dental bonding.

The veneer procedure is irreversible. During your appointment, we will remove a small portion of enamel from the front of your tooth, roughly the thickness of the veneer. Next, we will take an impression and send it to our laboratory, where they will fabricate your veneer. When the veneer is ready, we will bond it to the tooth using a special adhesive. Dental Fillings

Fillings are among the most commonly executed restorative procedures we see here at Everwell Dentistry. Our years of experience leave our hands more than capable of taking care of you and your cavity’s needs. There are a lot of options to choose from, but our most popular are likely our composite, or “tooth-colored” fillings. We are more than happy to answer any questions you have, but we hope the following can ease any unrest you may have concerning your upcoming procedure. Teeth Whitening

Most patients are familiar with store-bought products that whiten your teeth, like toothpaste and whitening gels. However, many may not know that professional in-office whitening produces faster and more effective results. Our bleaching gel is a higher concentration that can whiten your teeth by up to eight shades in one session! It is also a safe and more controlled option because we are there to monitor your progress. If you are interested in whitening your teeth, we highly recommend in-office whitening. Dental Implants

Dental implants are the ideal choice for tooth replacement. Most implants consist of a titanium screw, an abutment (support structure), and the restoration. Implants are unique in that the restoration becomes a part of your anatomy. The screw and your bone fuse together through the process of osseointegration, forming a powerful bond that can support even the strongest bite forces. Many patients missing one or more teeth opt for dental implants because they look, feel, and function just like natural teeth. If you are missing a tooth, a dental implant can change your life!
